As a.s.r. real assets expanded its reporting portfolio, managing annual reports, quarterly updates, ESG disclosures, prospectuses and vehicle-specific publications became increasingly complex. Although much of the underlying content and data was shared across reports, production remained highly manual, requiring information to be retrieved, validated and reformatted across multiple applications. Growing reporting demands, combined with expectations for faster publication cycles, greater transparency and a more professional presentation, created the need for a scalable and future-proof reporting approach.

Rather than optimising individual reporting processes in isolation, a.s.r. real assets adopted a connected reporting strategy built on the Workiva platform. Together with Advance Tax Compliance and TD Cascade, a unified reporting ecosystem was developed, combining data integration, governance and design within a single environment.

Advance Tax Compliance established the data foundation by connecting Workiva directly to the underlying source systems, while TD Cascade structured the full reporting landscape and developed a reusable design system that could be applied consistently across all publications. By bringing technology, content and design together, the solution enabled greater efficiency, stronger governance and more effective communication throughout the reporting process.

What started as a strategic ambition has evolved into a comprehensive connected reporting framework supporting more than 70 reports, all managed from a single source of truth within Workiva. Throughout the transformation, regular reporting cycles continued without disruption, ensuring business continuity while the new approach was implemented.

Today, the a.s.r. real assets team independently manages the creation and publication of its reports, supported by periodic reviews from TD Cascade. The result is a more efficient, scalable and controlled reporting process that delivers greater consistency across the entire reporting portfolio.
